Let’s Grab Something To Eat!
The world’s largest Rum Festival does tend to focus on the wet stuff, but this year’s show is far more than just drink alone. The Tropical Food Area brings the opportunity for the boundaries between food and drink to blur in the most pleasing of manners... Amongst all the fun, we think a little bit of inspiration will be the main serve!
Lovely rum cakes, chocolate that compliments the rum in your glass and fab rum punch are all on the cards for those who go looking. If you were there last year you’ll recall there was the chap selling fresh coconuts who seemed to sell out of his entire stock in about an hour (well maybe a bit longer than that). Good news is he’ll be back! So you can expect to see many people walking around the hall sipping some refreshing coconut water in between the sips of fine rum! RumFest really is bringing a little bit of lazy beach life to Autumnal London.
Just as a reminder – if you’re planning on arriving early, then this particular author would strongly recommend a hearty breakfast beforehand and plenty of water during your visit. It will help you make the most of the day and (hopefully) stop you from getting all partied out too soon and you'll soon build up an appetite for the lovely tropical food with all the walking between stands.
